under-drains + dry wells

Under drains (also know as french drains) are trenches filled with gravel and piping. The drainage pipe collects standing or moving water from a given source and carries it away by gravity to a dry well or towards a designated drainage area.
 
This keeps water from traveling under your properties foundation and directs it towards a location that can use or handle the water.
